South Korea has officially become a "super-aged" society, with 20% of its population now aged 65 or older, according to government data released Tuesday. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety reported that 10.24 million people are in this age group, representing one-fifth of the nation's total population of 51 million. Among them, 22% are women, and 18% are men.
