On November 26, 2024, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying will celebrate National Milk Day at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi to mark Dr. Verghese Kurien's 103rd birth anniversary. Dr. Kurien, known as the "Father of the White Revolution," played a key role in making India the world’s largest milk producer. The event will feature Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ministers of State S.P. Singh Baghel and George Kurian, and other dignitaries.
