Intermittent Exercise Shows Greater Long-Term Cognitive Benefits Than Continuous Exercise, Study Finds

The idea that we should exercise almost every day has been around for a long time. But a new study in Neurobiology of Learning and Memory shows that intermittent exercise, or exercising in short bursts, can also improve brain function. The study, done on mice, found that exercising only on weekends helped boost their cognitive abilities. This research shows a connection between exercise and brain health.
