The IOC confirmed seven formal bidders for the 2036 Olympic Games, including India and Qatar, joining bids from South Africa, South Korea, Germany, Hungary and Turkey. The process will shortlist candidates by March and aims for a contested host vote in 2029, with an October 31 deadline for late entrants and guidance from an IOC 30-page bidder document.
