Chennai-based Aheesa Digital Innovations has developed VIHAAN, India’s first indigenous broadband networking System-on-Chip built on RISC-V and the C-DAC VEGA processor, and reportedly passed its first silicon test on the first attempt. Designed for fibre broadband routing, inspection, firewall and QoS, VIHAAN aims for full production by 2027 and could reduce reliance on imported networking chips.
