Vithya Ramraj broke PT Usha’s 42-year-old Indian record in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Asian Games, clocking a personal best 54.75 seconds to win bronze. She also won gold in the women’s 4x400m relay and silver in the mixed 4x400m. Ramraj thanked supporters and said she hopes her success will inspire youngsters to pursue sport.
