Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has formally joined the INDIA bloc, adding a new twist to Tamil Nadu politics. TVK representatives attended the alliance’s Chennai meeting alongside Congress, VCK, MDMK and Left parties, while the DMK stayed away. The move formalises TVK’s existing partnership with Congress and gives Vijay’s party a place in the wider national Opposition grouping.
