Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann urged scrapping the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging 'vote chori' and demanding an impartial probe and strict action. He said the Vidhan Sabha passed a resolution by voice vote opposing SIR, warned of threats to voting rights and democratic institutions, and called for transparency, independent agencies and protection of citizens’ electoral participation.
