The Finance Ministry said UPI has become integral to daily life, recording 23 billion transactions in July as it marked ten years of operations. Launched in 2016, the platform grew to 2,366 crore monthly transactions and Rs 29.88 lakh crore value in July, with 741 banks on board, merchant payments representing 63% of volume, expansion to 11 countries, and plans to deepen adoption and financial inclusion.
