Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat emphasized that 'One Nation, One Election' is necessary to save time and money spent on frequent elections, which also slow down development work. He stated that both the public and election workers have long demanded this change. Addressing objections, Shekhawat noted no strong reactions to the bill so far and added that discussions in Parliament will address any concerns. He made these remarks in Jodhpur while paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary.
