Kullu's International Dussehra (October 21 to 27) is a weeklong festival where living deities arrive in decorated palanquins to Kullu's Dhalpur ground, a tradition since Raja Jagat Singh's 17th-century reign. This year 347 deities are invited, up from 284, highlighting growing participation and its impact on local culture, tourism, logistics, and political influence.
