During the AVC Men's Volleyball Continental Championship in Japan, a young fan from Fukuoka sent a handwritten letter to Indian outside hitter Chirag Yadav, thanking and praising him; the note went viral. Yadav scored 14 points, including three aces and a block, as India beat New Zealand 3, 0. The victory kept India’s quarter‑final hopes alive, dependent on the Oman, Bahrain result.
