The Cockroach Janta Party has given Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar 48 hours to resign, warning of nationwide protests if he does not step down. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke linked the demand to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and alleged irregularities in the process. The Election Commission has said differences during internal deliberations are normal and that final decisions were taken unanimously.
