Rashami Desai returned to television with Star Plus' Sayonee after a four-year break, saying she took time off to focus on herself, work on a Gujarati film and the Zee5 movie Hisaab Barabar, and attend workshops. She described online trolling, being told her career was over, gender stereotyping and TV’s undervalued status while asserting her continued ambitions.
