Madhya Pradesh Congress staged a protest outside the Election Commission office in Bhopal over the detention of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during a New Delhi opposition demonstration. Leaders including Jitu Patwari, Umang Singhar and Digvijaya Singh led the sit-in, raised slogans, burned an effigy, and demanded protection of democratic rights and transparency in electoral rolls.
