The Jammu and Kashmir government has allowed employees appointed to posts advertised before December 24, 2009 who joined service under the New Pension Scheme a one-time option to switch to the Old Pension Scheme. The order, approved by the Council of Ministers, requires eligible staff to apply through channels within three months; the choice will be final and those who miss the deadline remain under NPS.
