The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj said rural properties worth ₹1.37 lakh crore can now be used to get loans through the SVAMITVA scheme. This scheme uses drones to map properties in rural areas. Earlier, many village properties were not officially mapped, making it hard for owners to access bank loans. Now, with property cards provided under the scheme, property owners have a legal document that helps them secure loans from banks.
