Hyderabad-based PopVax has begun Phase 1 human trials of PVX-001, an RNA covid-19 vaccine designed to remain stable at 2-8°C for at least nine months and protect against diverse SARS-CoV-2 variants. Fourteen participants were dosed so far in Melbourne, with no serious adverse events reported; PopVax plans to open-source the vaccine design after trials.
