The NHRC opened a suo motu inquiry after video clips and complaints suggested minors were mobilised and used during a CJP protest at Shivaji Park, Mumbai on October 2. It has directed Mumbai Police, MeitY, X, and Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Department to investigate, preserve digital evidence, file FIRs where needed, and ensure child protection.
