Nagpur has emerged as the proposed site for a Final Assembly Line for Embraer’s C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft, with Mahindra Group and Embraer working with the Maharashtra government on the plan. The facility would be built only if India selects the C-390 under the IAF’s Medium Transport Aircraft programme, potentially bringing aircraft manufacturing, supplier development and MRO capabilities to the region.
