Manisha Koirala will star in the Hollywood indie Cowgirls and Indians, written and directed by Tejal Desai, with filming set to begin in November in Austin, Texas. The feature expands Desai’s award-winning short Cowboys and Hindus and follows Asha, a middle-aged Indian woman, as she confronts cultural displacement and forms unlikely friendships while discovering herself in the American Southwest.
