Abubaker Deghayes, 58, of Brighton has been charged on October 1 with breaching a Terrorist Notification Order after an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing South East. Deghayes, previously jailed in 2022 for promoting 'jihad by sword' at Brighton Mosque in 2020, is accused of failing to comply with section 54 of the Counter Terrorism Act. He was remanded and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
