Netflix has announced a wide theatrical release for KPop Demon Hunters 2, a sequel to the streamer's record-breaking original film. The first movie's theatrical re-releases and box office success prompted Netflix to reconsider its release strategy. The sequel, due in 2029, could further elevate Netflix's presence in cinemas and challenge traditional theatrical windows.
