Delhi Police has de-notified Jantar Mantar as a protest venue, designating Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in East Delhi as alternatives. The decision follows recommendations by a Ministry of Home Affairs committee reviewing suitable locations for demonstrations. Police said a revised standard operating procedure (SOP) for organising protests at the new venues will be issued separately.
