India launched a Rs 62,500 crore Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) offering production-linked incentives of 2.5, 5% from FY27, FY31 to boost domestic electronics and Indian mobile brands. Eligible firms must be registered in India with Rs 10,000 crore turnover in FY26 and meet incremental sales targets. The plan adds benefits for local component sourcing, aims to deepen value addition, and supports growth and exports.
