Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Canada in December as India and Canada work to conclude their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement by the end of 2026. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said trade negotiations are progressing and that he looks forward to welcoming Modi. The next formal round of CEPA talks is scheduled for October 5–9 as both sides push towards a year-end deal.
