Delhi’s Cabinet approved the DURGA scheme to allocate 1,300 pink electric autos to women and transgender drivers, with 1,170 for women and 130 for transgender beneficiaries. Up to 90 autos per district for women and 10 for transgender persons will be offered via an online portal, subject to eligibility and a mandatory three-year lock-in. The scheme aims to boost self-employment, safer transport and EV infrastructure.
