Vijay Deverakonda said his 2022 Hindi debut Liger involved extreme physical preparation, reducing water intake to as little as 200 to 300 ml and resorting to licking ice cubes during shoots. He described intense thirst and requested chilled coconut water. He will reunite with Rashmika Mandanna in Ranabaali, set in 1870s South India and releasing October 16, 2026.
