Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Jagdish Singh Jhinda urged passage of an All-India Gurdwaras Act and proposed a 211-member National Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (NSGMC) to serve as a 'Sikh Parliament'. He said the NSGMC would ensure uniform, transparent gurdwara administration, represent Sikhs from each state proportionally, include co-opted overseas members, and will be promoted via a 101-member ad hoc campaign committee.
