Erling Haaland, the Norwegian striker and Manchester City football star, is reportedly unlikely to join Real Madrid despite the club’s long-standing interest. Spanish outlet Sport reports Madrid have no plans to pursue the 26-year-old, even if City face sanctions after being found guilty of Premier League financial-rule breaches. Haaland’s long-term contract and Madrid’s attacking options are also said to make a move difficult.
