Edward Enninful's Tate Britain exhibition argues 1990s British art and fashion emerged from low rents, cross-disciplinary playfulness and outsider energy that today's gentrification, nepotism and professionalisation have largely extinguished. The show, running 8 October 2026 to 14 February 2027, urges reconsideration of that era and recommends policies such as Ireland's Basic Income for the Arts to revive creative diversity.
