Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi has criticised the detention of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) activists in Guwahati, calling the action unacceptable and unjustified. Police detained CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and other members during a volunteer meet on Sunday. Gogoi accused the Assam government of suppressing youth voices, while CJP said it planned to meet students, families and local volunteers.
