Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said a new Delhi-Haridwar expressway could be completed within two months, cutting travel time to about 90 minutes. He said the road would ease pilgrim access to the Ganga, bolster tourism and economic activity, and form part of wider infrastructure upgrades reducing logistics costs and improving connectivity across India.
