Tamil Nadu has doubled its daily Annadhanam (free meal) program across ten major temples, increasing beneficiaries from 282,875 to 508,350 annually by adding 225,475 devotees. HR&CE Minister C. Ramesh inaugurated the expansion at Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Kundrathur, Kanchipuram, fulfilling a 2026-27 assembly pledge and continuing the scheme started in 2002.
