The Varanasi International Cricket Stadium project, launched by the Prime Minister in September 2023, is rapidly nearing completion in 2026 with reports of about 90% work done. Located in Ganjari, Varanasi, the INR 450 crore venue will seat roughly 30,000, feature nine pitches and international-standard facilities, and incorporates Shiva-inspired design elements. Officials expect a possible late-2026 opening.
