The extraordinary scene in Ranchi shows a monkey entering an off-licence, cracking open and drinking half a bottle of vodka, then climbing onto boxes and falling asleep as staff and customers continued working. Locals said the primate drank leftover alcohol. Wildlife officers later removed the animal and took it to Birsa Biological Park for veterinary examination; its condition remains unknown.
