Gelephu Mindfulness City will inaugurate Project 108 on November 1, 2026, raising 108 Jangchub Chortens, each 15 metres tall, along a 12-kilometre stretch of the Mau Chhu River. Funded by public contributions, sponsors and donations, with each chorten estimated at USD 200,000, the initiative mobilises 40,000 volunteers and symbolises Bhutan's Buddhist heritage and aspirations for mindfulness.
