Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, 38, has retired from international, first-class and List A cricket but extended his Melbourne Stars BBL contract through 2027-28. He played the 2026 T20 World Cup, last appearing against Oman in February. Maxwell reflected on hopes for an MCG farewell and leaves with 130 T20Is, 2,897 runs, 51 wickets and five centuries.
