Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that coordinated anti-drug operations under Operation Trident led to 18 arrests across Assam, Mizoram and Manipur, dismantling an international narco-cartel. Agencies froze 1,424 bank accounts, exposed Rs 100 crore in hawala, attached properties, seized detonators and cash. The government reiterated its commitment to eradicate drug networks by December 31, 2029.
