Indian entrepreneur Sam Pasupalak's Skyfall AI released SKY-001, an engineering-focused model claimed to outperform GPT-6 Astra on specific CAD and BIM benchmarks while costing about 150 times less. Developed over 18 months, SKY-001 decomposes designs into assemblies and components for staged planning. Skyfall's tests report slightly higher IoU and large gains in speed and cost.
