Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Meghalaya on October 4–5 to present the President’s Colour to the state police, marking a major ceremonial honour. Around 1,500 police personnel are expected to be deployed for security, with traffic advisories planned for routes affected by the visit. Meghalaya DGP Vivek Syiem called the recognition a matter of pride and achievement.
