Carlos Alcaraz, returning from injury, was upset by Zizou Bergs 7-5, 7-6 (7/4) in Shanghai Masters third round, halting his comeback. The 39th-ranked Belgian will face Tommy Paul next. Alcaraz blamed errors despite his recent Tokyo Open win. Meanwhile, Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Auger-Aliassime, Casper Ruud and others also progressed to the last 16.
