On August 17, during Nag Panchami, two snakes were reported on the lawn of Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat in Bandra Bandstand, Mumbai. A rescue team found an approximately eight-foot Dhaman (Indian rat snake) hiding under a ladder and removed it as non-venomous, while the second snake escaped during the search. The incident drew attention because of the celebrity residence and prompted a careful response.
