Fifteen years after The Dirty Picture, producer Ektaa Kapoor has confirmed a sequel is in development. Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, she said she now has a story to tell but kept details about the central character, cast and release date private. The original 2011 film starred Vidya Balan and was inspired by Silk Smitha’s life.
