The Centre sanctioned ₹1,281 crore under PM-RKVY to 10 states, with West Bengal receiving ₹290 crore. Announced at the National Agriculture Conference, the funds will support soil health, sustainable farming and state and Centre coordination. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also launched Khet Bachao Abhiyan from Oct 22 to Nov 30, 2026. State teams will review rabi crop choices and curb spurious inputs.
