A developing weather system over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression and is expected to strengthen further as it moves toward the north Andhra Pradesh–south Odisha coast. IMD forecasts widespread rain with isolated heavy showers, while the system is likely to cross between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur during September 23–24.
