Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government’s draft rules for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act strike a balance between regulation and innovation while protecting citizens' rights. The government released the draft rules on Friday for public consultation, which will continue until February 18. Vaishnaw explained that the rules follow the guidelines set by the Act passed by Parliament and are designed to ensure both innovation and the protection of citizens' rights.
