Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2026-27 quarter-final on August 25, taking two quick wickets in the 28th over and completing two catches as East Zone enforced the follow-on against North East Zone at BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 2. Also vice-captain, he earlier scored eight runs and contributed significantly with ball and in the field.
