US Waives 100% Tariff on Select Speciality Drugs From India

The US has exempted India and 19 other countries from tariffs on select speciality pharmaceutical products and their associated ingredients. The zero-tariff provision covers medicines for rare diseases, infertility treatments, cell and gene therapies, antibody-drug conjugates and certain animal pharmaceuticals. Generic medicines remain outside the US Section 232 pharmaceutical tariffs, according to the Commerce Department notice.
