US, China Agree to Cut Tariffs on $60 Billion in Two-Way Trade After Trump-Xi Talks

Following the Trump-Xi summit, the US and China agreed to cut tariffs on about $30 billion of imports from each country, roughly $60 billion in two-way trade, covering non-sensitive items such as toys, household goods, agricultural products, coal and medical equipment. Most goods would regain most-favored-nation treatment once domestic procedures finish, aiming to stabilize bilateral trade and ease consumer prices.
